Terms and Conditions
Young Workers and Employment Workshops
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully; final confirmation of your workshop requires acceptance of them.
General Provisions
Alive After Five, Labour Education, and Employment Programs are fully funded programs offered at no cost to any interested schools or partners. There are no charges for booking, speaker time, travel costs, or materials. Any exceptions and potential costs to schools and programs are noted below in the Cancellations section. Any amendments to this contract must be made in writing and submitted to ywsafety@bcfed.ca. If schools require District General Contracts, please send them to ywsafety@bcfed.ca. We will consider those contract terms to be equal to these terms and conditions.

Expectations
We kindly ask that the following expectations be adhered to:
- For online sessions, student/participant cameras remain on during the presentation.
- Students use their real first names during the presentation so the facilitator can properly address individuals who have questions, concerns, or comments.
- A teacher, job coach, or staff member remain online/in the room and engaged during the presentation(s).
- Respectful communication is relevant to the workshop materials and information only. We expect that our presenters are provided with a healthy and safe working environment.
- Please have a teacher, job coach, or staff member log onto the session 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled session time. For in person delivery, please meet the facilitator at the office or provide instructions for our facilitator staff.
- All questions or concerns regarding bookings or contact information are directed through the Community Education coordinators Jennifer Lambert or Dani-Rose Coates.
- Confirmation of date, time(s) and numbers are needed no later than 10 days prior to the presentation.
Cancellations
Incurring travel expenses that result in last-minute cancellations or no-shows can affect our ability to travel across B.C. delivering these presentations.
We require at least 24 hours’ cancellation notice for all online sessions by email to ywsafety@bcfed.ca, or please contact Jennifer Lambert or Dani-Rose Coates directly via email. For in-person sessions, we require 48 hours’ cancellation notice. Unfortunately, failure to notify us within these time frames may result in a cancellation fee to cover any reasonable costs (including but not limited to wage replacement costs for the presenter).
Session Evaluation
Following each presentation, participants will receive an email with a link to our evaluation pages to complete. But if you have any immediate concerns following a presentation, please contact Jennifer Lambert or Dani-Rose Coates, as soon as possible.
